Chicago--Friday night, July 27th. Original thread is closed, but if you're up for a meet-up at the Rock Bottom Brewery (due west of Navy Pier), I'll be there around 8 p.m. for some food, drinks, and a camera for pics.

Yeah, not to be a spoiler, but it is probably going to be less of a MeetUp and more of a Yell-at-each-other-over-the-noise-where-the-hell-is-our-waitress-omg-the-line-for-womens-is-so-long-that-I-just-saw-a-chick-squatting-over-a-urinal-in-the-mensUp.

Damn - I'll be in NY next weekend. The last few meetups have happened on nights where I have unchangeable plans. Have fun, take pictures, and have such a good time thatb you'll want to do another one real soon.

The Grand Red Line stop is on the corner.

I want to stress that Rock Bottom is both touristy and busy, as an alternative I'd like to suggest Rossi's on State which is both divey and the only bar in Chicago I've seen with an honest to god screen door. It's at 412 N. State, about two blocks south of Rock Bottom. It's about as polar opposite as you can get from Rock Bottom... if Rock Bottom sucks its a great alternative.

I'm sorry I missed you all. I didn't connect on the day in question, so I had a sampler at the Rock Bottom Brewery on my own and toasted metafilter.
