Apparently Brad doesn't April 14, 2007 7:05 PM Subscribe
Congratulations frenetic, or as most of us know you, Brad Sucks on yesterday's appearance on New Music Canada Track of the Day! When you get rich and famous, remember - we recognized your brilliance first.
Is it wrong that seeing Metatalk in my referral logs made my heart skip more than being New Music Canada Track of the Day? I thought I was in trouble.

I've always thought that Dirtbag could easily be a hit single in the US.

I discovered Brad Sucks on MeFi Music and have been a big fan ever since. Congrats, frenetic.

Success! I listen to his tracks approximately once every two days since he's in my "random ultimate favourites" playlist. Does this make me incredibly sad or slightly mefi geek chic?
I suspect the two mean the same, alas.

I discovered Brad Sucks independent of MeFi. I AM... something.
Anyway, Brad Sucks doesn't.

Hi I'm on metatalk and I could call out a plate of beans.
Brad, I just went back through the tunes you've posted to Music, and I love 'em all. I promise to order a CD as soon as the bank says it's okay.

Naw, sorry frenetic, but the nicest thread ever was when Ynoxas gave me and my music a callout in the blue. This is the 2nd nicest. ;-)

Brad, I ordered your music from some online site I can't remember the name of, where you name your price, as it were. And I loved it.
A while later, after finding out you'd written/recorded at least a few of those songs as Songfights (where I peddle my unseemly wares on occasion) I kicked you a quick payment in appreciation for the quality of your work, and said "Don't send me a CD, I already have the music." And you sent me a CD anyway.

Anyhoo, long story short: your stuff still gets play on my iPod, and if I had 1/10th the songwriting chops you have, people would know who the hell I was. Well done.

I found out about you through a trailer mashup of Toy Story and Requiem for a dream, I think through Waxy or the blue. That was probably two years ago, and I was pleased and surprised that you were on Metafilter, not to mention by everything you've released since then. I gave my mom your CD for Christmas.
