Atlanta Meetup

Anyone interested in an Atlanta, GA meet-up? I recently moved from an area with no local MeFites so it would be nice to finally meet some members.

Shit yeah!

The Brick Store Pub!!! Awesome doesn't even begin to describe that place. It's one of the three reasons I moved to ATL.

Sounds good to me. Brick Store Pub is the place, now we just need a time. I'll throw out Saturday the 21st at 5pm. I'm open to suggestions. What works best for you guys? Sooner or later? Weekends? Weekdays after work?

I am biased because I work here but Manuels has a nice beer list now and plus I work the back bar every other Sat. and its actually in Atlanta rather than Decatur. However, Brickstore is mighty awesome and if it falls on a Sat. I don't work, I can be there.

I'll be at the Brick Store Pub in Decatur, GA on Saturday the 21st at 5pm if any other MeFites want to join me. If no one shows up by 6pm I'll be out the door and on my way to Manuel's to buy a brew from stormygrey.

BrickStore Pub is in downtown Decatur, so there is typical downtown oriented street parking, just drive till you find a spot.

They are opening a BrickStore in my neck of the woods very soon, which I am wicked excited about.

As I am preparing to put up a show (theatre, Much Ado About Nothing, y'all come see us now . . . ) I probably won't be able to make it, but otherwise I'd be up for some Brick Store in nothing flat.

Also, it's very, very near the Decatur MARTA station. As in, in the same square. Just follow the raucous jubliation.

Sorry, I’m a little confused—is the location confirmed? I’d probably be able to come to either place, but given the option, I’d choose Manuels since it’s only about 3 miles from my home.

I do hope this pans out. I tried to organize a meetup a while back and nothing came of it.

Only a few showed, but a good time was had by all of those few. I hope. It's possible some folks headed over to Manuel's as well, since our signbearer was a bit late. So to anyone who showed up early and left: honest, there were actually people there, you weren't stood up!

Ah, so you guys were there. I was there a bit after 5 but didn't notice anyone so I took off. Of course, I only made the most cursory of inspections. Oh well, maybe another time.

I apologize to any who showed on time and left before I got there with my fancy sign. Sorry, GalaxieFiveHundred. I misjudged my travel time and showed up 20 minutes late. It was very nice to meet those that did manage to find me. There was some talk about another meet-up for a beer fest in May. I’ll leave it up to others to organize that as my meet-up skillz are weak.

I was there. It was a good time. That was my first time at the Brick Store, but I’ll definitely go back again.

I’m going to wait to post this to the MeTa front page until a little closer to the date, but I’m going to try to call ya’ll out for the East Atlanta Beer Fest on 13 May.
