Removing a favorite is hard! [moron inside]
the [+] should change to a [-] if the item's already been favorited. That's what I say.

do i misunderstand your question? i think you just click your profile link, then click "favorites: #" and the list with the remove links is right there, right?
i mean, i'm all for a "-" sign next to favorited comments, but what you went through to remove the link seems extraordinarily lengthy, and not necessary.

Thank you, Mr. Haughey. Had I written to you on the matter, my message would've been as follows:
Hello, Matt! Love the site. I was, uh, just wondering if the favorites feature would be expanded to include a [-] option in the near future. Thanks!

Also, when perusing AskMe through the yahoo search, there's no way to know if a thread has best answers without scrolling through it. I'd like to see a "# best answers" counter at the top, if possible. I understand that there's a check next to it if you're browsing the archives or using the tagsearch, but just jumping into a random thread, there's no way to know.

Dude, I was all the way at the top of the post, and my profile link was way down at the bottom. It was faaaaar, and I am laaaaazy. Also, I have an irrational fear of the "End" key, ever since one killed my mother, poured sugar in my grandmother, and raped my gas tank. (But seriously, I'm right there, where I just favorited it. All I want to do is unfavorite it. And that's still three clicks (profile, favorites, remove); now you're also adding in a keystroke.)
I'd also like a link to my profile at the top. I know the bar is cluttered, but maybe: "February 25, 2007 8:20 PM EST - Logged in as Eideteker" on that yellow strip.

You don't have to go through your profile to remove a favorite. There's a link at the top of every page that takes you directly to your favorites.
HOME key --> Favorites --> remove favorite
I'm all for the [-], just sayin' it ain't all that involved as you make it.

Yeah, there's been confusion since the inception of the tabs about the Favorites link vs. the Popular Favorites tab. I distinctly remember lots of numbskull clamoring about REDUNDANCY! CLUTTER! and on.
...Erm, not to say anyone here's a numbskull. Well, if anyone, I.

I've always wondered why the "You are logged in as User X/logout" greeting at the top of the main pages goes away in the threads.

I thought that was because it moved down by the comment box, to remind you you are 'posting as' your civil, reasonable persona, not your boggle-eyed flamelord sockpuppet.

The sound went out on my TV about an hour ago. The closed-captioning works. Man, Peter O'Toole must be shooting laser beams from his eyes.

While it's convenient to have the comment box tell me who I am (logged in as), it'd still be nice to have the 'logged in as user [x] (logout)' at the top, too.
