MetaGras 2007 Any MeFites coming to New Orleans for the annual Pre-Lenten festival next Tuesday? Or am I deluding myself once again?

Just out of curiousity, Is there any of ya'll still down here? I know I can look at that mefi map feature, but hell, I can also open the phone book or check the 2000 census. Doesn't really seem to mean much at this point, is my point. I know I've read comments from recent departees.

At any rate, yeah, my gleeful stupor starts tomorrow on St. Charles Ave. Come hell or high water or hurricanes or tornadoes or unsettling crime waves or...volcanoes or...meteors...I should probably stop typing.

sorry, i did carnival early this year, krewe du vieux. so i'll be sitting out the big weekend. i would love to be there but i can't take off anymore time from work :(

anyway, i feel your pain dizzy. this will be the first time in five years i'll miss the main event down in new orleans.
i'll just spend mardi gras walking around cookeville , TN. with a white umbrella till the cops round me up for trying to hard.

if i don't come down early next year, i'll save my wampum buck for mardi gras weekend, and join you all on saint charles to watch zulu. there i'll raise a glass to new orleans health , and the health of the gulf coast.

p.s. a family from Laplace just moved to my town about 8 months ago , and opened a cajun eatery. i plan on giving them a bunch of business. i love me some home made dirty rice.
