PinkStainlessTail's fame is spreading. December 20, 2006 6:52 AM Subscribe
I initially didn't notice the 'fame' in that sentence. Which was a little jarring.

I thought those were the lyrics to Jingle Bell Rock.

His fame has been spreading for a while now. It's spreading slowly and it's itchy and a bit oozy, and should probably be looked at by a doctor.

No, no. That's "The, Christmas music, THE!"
Depends. I don't know Germish too well. Maybe it's Das Kristmas Musik. At any rate, I want to kill it in the face with a claw hammer.

Why just the face? Unless you remove the vocal chords and lungs, The Christmas Music can still wheeze and gurgle. Which is much worse - worse than even those singing cats.

Somehow, I'm relishing the idea of wheezing, gurgling, undead Christmas music oozing from all the mall speakers, frightening the shoppers. I think I'll leave it at the face until next year, at least.

Now he's more famous than the group that gave him his username! And although I loooove The Red Krayola, I'm not denying PinkStainlessTail anything.

(Yes, it has been over ten years since I took German, with next to zero practice since then. Why?)

inigo2, you can use the MeFi Music Player to play the mp3 even though it's not hosted on-site. Check it out here.

Stirb, Weihnachtsmusik, stirb!
(just, you know, FYI. And I'll have to agree with the sentiment. In general. PinkStainlessTail's song is, of course, marvellous.)

Yeah, "toten" means "kill," doesn't it? And the imperative lops off the ending. And I forgot all about it being Weinachtsmusik. Good thing this wasn't AskMe.

w-g p has come up with a GREAT idea... a Christmas/Holiday/Solstice version of "rock paper scissors" with "jingle rock bell"... the hard part is figuring out what hand gestures to use for "bell" and "jingle"...
You could cup your hand downward to represent the 'bell', and make a 'J' shape with your thumb for 'jingle'? I don't know...

Töten, yes. And yes, if it was a singular imperative it would be "Töte!" (but then, do you want someone to kill the Christmas music, or do you want the Christmas music to kill...? Kill, Christmas music, kill! *ahem* )

I think an inverted V-for-Victory/peacesign for Bell, and a thumbs up with your thumb waggling back and forth for Jingle. (And the rock sign would actually be The Horns, for added sass.)

Well, I posted this on the (now dead) previous thread, but:
This is spreading viral-marketing style throughout my high school. People sing it in the hall ways, and it's on a couple network drives. No escape, I tell ya.

I just downloaded it and played it several times at an office holiday gathering. One guy begged us to turn it off but I think otherwise it went over really well.
