Back button works, Ajex gone October 26, 2006 2:19 PM Subscribe
FYI: the tabs on mefi, metatalk, and ask mefi are no longer ajaxy, loading whole pages instead. They all have permanent easy to read URLs and your back button works again.
Cool. Much better on the shared machines at work.
Has the 'Most Favorited in the Past 24 Hours' yielding stuff that was last favorited three days ago been brought up yet?

robocop is bleeding, and you show me an example post that hasn't been favorited in three days that is currently on the last 24 hours list? URLs to both, please.

Well, this change un-broke a script or three or five. Even were that not the exact intent, a subset of MetaFilter users and script developers owe you thanks for the site modification. And I am a member of that subset.

The a:active color on the links on the tabs for the plain text theme is white, which is probably not what you wanted. Minor, but I just noticed.

Here's two.
The problem is a bit more subtle than that, of course. There are posts up that have been favorited only once in the past three days as well, which is almost certainly not a valid result of the intended algorithm.

There fixed. The all favorites post shows 1 week ago, so I changed the description to reflect that.

Just a little thing: deleted posts show up on "popular favorites" et al. This seems like a pretty prominent place for posts that are supposed to be gone, but it's nice to retain the ability to favorite deleted posts. Maybe that's not a concern at all, it just occurred to me.

Hey, I can turn JS off again! Yay! My pony just got a little bigger. :-)
Oddly, my pony refuses to be blue. I've even cleared cache, right down to its nuts, and my pony is... well, ugly. Black on white, default text, etc. Somehow, I don't end up with the CSS, or the CSS isn't being cleared from cache.
Doesn't harm functionality, and I only view the page for a moment to shift+click the links I'm interested in, plus it's actually a tiny bit easier to read...
