Missing favorites?

A lot of my favorites aren't showing up on my favorites page, even though I do show up as having favorited (favored?) them if I go to the thread they were on. Am I missing something?

For example, I favorited this comment, but I can't find it on my favorites page.

its never worked. after all, i just know hundreds of people have favorited thousands of my deep and insightful comments, yet a mere 140 show up on the page...

Mathowie has subcontracted the favoriting engine out to Diebold. They're looking into it.

I knew I should have insisted on paper-based favoriting only. These newfangled electronic favoriting systems are only making things worse.

Has something changed in the favouriting code? Hovering now produces something in the style of "http://www.metafilter.com/contribute/add_favorite.mefi?sitetype_id=5&link_ID=12775&author_id=25430". It could be just me, though.

Oh, OK, I see that Matt deleted that thread.

And yet, I've favorited deleted comments before, and I can still see them. But if I've favorited undeleted comments on a deleted thread, I can't? That's inconsistent...
