He ruined his dream to bring us tasty treats. Selfless, Matt is.

Well, it's kind of like a mormon masterbating. Sure, it ruins a dream, but I'm doing it myself and in the end it's a good thing.

Metafilter: It's kind of like a mormon masturbating.

I have been so tempted all afternoon and evening to make a MetaTalk post that said "Hey look, we've almost made it through a whole day with no MetaTalk posts. Do you think we can make it?". I have been fighting that urge for hours out of respect for our community. Do you have any idea how hard that has been for me? Every time I would click on the MeTa front page, it would be like a knife in my belly. It was like a siren, calling to me "post something and ruin the streak... post something and ruin the streak" but I fought it, and I won. I didn't ruin the day of no MeTa posts. It is called self-control mathowie. Look into it.
Neat map feature by the way.

Both London jobs are on top of each other. Could you add some random shift to them or something?

If you zoom in far enough, the jobs won't be on top of each other anymore (unless they're at the exact same address).

I think the posters both used "london, uk" as the entire location, so when doing a yahoo maps lookup, that would return the exact same location (if someone added a street address it would be different). I'll look at the google maps api to see how it handles multiple results on the same spot.

Looks nice. Shouldn't there be a sort by distance feature for mefi jobs, though? (Not that I'm even looking for a job -- I just like pointing out work that other people can do. :-)

There is a distance feature. The jobs that presumably could be accomplished on line don't show distance while those that require physical presence do show the miles.
Perhaps because of my adblocker, I do not see the map at all, just an oblong with the message that the map is loading. It doesn't. But that is OK; I do not want a job and think the feature is a remarkable service from our benevolent #1.

Are you supposed to be able to click on them and see what they are?
