BUG: My comments aren't my comments. The links seem correct, but the comments displayed don't belong to me.
True, but it is a confusing design, since it's the same layout as a normal comments page where what is posted above the dateline IS your comment.

It is displaying the content of the post you made a comment in, not your comment itself.

My comments aren't my comments either.

My comments are your comments.

Every time I'm looking for a previous comment I've made, I have this same confusion. I figure it out quickly enough, but it's not exactly intuitive design. When you search for something, you expect to see the thing you searched for, not the context in which the thing you searched for appears. And because comments and posts are styled to look almost identical on MeFi, it's not immediately apparent what you're looking at in the results of a comment search. I'm just saying...

Ah, ok. I guess it wasn't immediately obvious because most of the items on that page look like comments, not FPPs. Curse you MetaTalk and you informal style! I guess what I was looking for was a list of my own comments. I don't necessarily care where I said it, I want to find out WHAT I said.
but I'll be quiet now

I could just pull up your comments, but it seems like back in the day, people used to like the way the current layout shows that "hey, that guy left seven comments on that one thread, he should shut up!" etc.
I guess I need to invert it. So instead you'd be able to read your own comments, and the below link line would say something like "posted to Title Of The Original Post at 12:34 PM Oct 23, 2005"

I've noticed this too. On google for example, I find links that say "The greatest whatever ever: posted by snsranch" when I've never posted such a thing. I don't think it's a MeFi flaw though.
