Dunno why MetaTalk doesn't have the same formatting/link toolbar that the Blue and the Green do. At any rate, the East Bay meetup initiated in this thread will be held at Luka's in Oakland tomorrow (Thursday 5/4) at 6:30 or 7:00. Be there!

There was a big long table there in February, just immediately to the left of the entrance, facing the bar.

But that was February. Don't hold me to it.

There's also a parking lot behind it, for those not using BART.

There's been construction on the street behind it on and off for several months that could make that parking lot inaccessible. I'll be driving by there on my way home tonight, so I'll check it out to forewarn y'all. And if the big table isn't there, it's really not a big deal. There's plenty of small tables and chairs in the lounge area that can be gathered together.

Argh! Some asshole broke into my apt and stole my credit cards and (nothing else obvious) and now I'm waiting for the cops to file a report and I'll be LATE and I'm the one who reserved the table. I told them to release it to anyone who said metafilter. I also said party of 8. Who knows how many will really show up.

Sorry! I'll be there as soon as possible!

I learnt many things about my good neighbors, the Mefights. Zombie sex, biofluids, masticators - it was all there. Even a walking tour of downtown Oakland, complete with egg projectiles.

Yeah, small_ruminant and I got to experience that charming feature as well. Even so, it was a great evening, and big props to those intrepid few (occhiblu! and that person I'm forgetting!) who braved the dreaded Tube to join us from the other side of the Bay.
