Yep, MeFi's clock is 3 minutes fast. Can't believe you even noticed this, let alone complained.

Wow. You know, I have a thing about precision time and I don't think there's any excuse for any networked computer not to be using sntp or ntp to be correctly synchronized. But I'd never complain about it here.

But now that you mention it...

Excellent! I like my clock a few minutes late, so my lazy behind stands a better chance of being on time at and with my obligations. Now I can just refer to the MeFi clock (MFST)!

I've noticed some strange things in askme threads--I read some replies, returned a minute later, and the new responses were above the old ones. Maybe that's related.

It only synchronizies weekly, so I suppose it got off when I changed time zones the other day. It's ok now, and backed up three minutes when I forced a sync just now.
