Connecting to static.fmpub.net...

AskMe is hanging half-rendered, with the status bar reading "Connecting to static.fmpub.net...", which, indeed, is not accepting connections.

It's trying to pull in ads.
Can you get to this desperately boring javascript file on the server directly?
It's coming through fine for me, so it may just have been a server hiccup at fmpub.net.

AskMe and the blue were hanging for me as well (Firefox 1.5.0.2 on XP), but everything's loading fine now.

I was getting this problem a couple of days ago, but at the time I couldn't get to about half the internet due to a routing error somewhere in michnet. Worked OK through a proxy...

Right Click on AdBlock* in the task bar, paste "static.fmpub.net/*", click ok. Reload. No problemo!

* Requires having the adblock extension installed.

It's back working for me now. I figured it was a temporary thing, but it seemed like the sort of temporary thing that's worth noting.
