Alberta Meetup

Calgary/Southern Alberta Meet-up? I'm willing to drive up (and/or carpool) to Calgary to do an Alberta Meet-up in the next few weeks. Anyone else interested in doing this? I'm thinking November 25 or December 2nd at a yet unnamed pub.

I happen to know of a few active Southern Alberta Mefites, and at least a bunch from Calgary as well (and just tonight found another, who happens to have written a really cool book, so his attendance is mandatory!)

Mandatory, eh? Okay, I'll do my best to make it then. 25th is probably preferable for me. The Wildwood Pub (downstairs from the restaurant) on 4th St SE in Mission is a comfortable joint. Very reasonably priced microbrew pints. And stumbling distance from my house, which is helpful too.

I lived in Calgary in 1990. I recall an area nicknamed electric ave. I was wondering if people still call it electric ave?

I'll try to make either date. Although, the High Dials are in town on the 1st - I may use my weekly night out pass for that.

Wildwood sounds good, or else there's Brew Bros on the former Electric Ave.
